The Upper Canada Judo Club was formed in February, 2002 by Mr. D. Burt. Our students have won medals at all levels of competition including provincials and nationals. Black belt instructors are highly experienced and NCCP certified. The emphasis of our club is competitive judo, however, we also offer recreational programs.
The Upper Canada Judo Club is very proud of our blend of juniors, seniors and families. Many families include children, parents and even grandparents participating together.
Our club motto is "Building strength and character through judo".

A very special congratulations to Emily Burt for her fabulous month of July. Emily took gold at 2 European Cups and the Francophone Games over a 4 week period. Emily is now ranked #2 in the World in the Junior(U21) division.

Congratulations to Emily Burt who had a large division of 64 women in Thuringa, Germany at the U21 International Championship. Emily had a good day going 5-2 and finishing in 5th place.
Don't forget the UCJC Christmas party on Tuesday, December 22nd at 6pm. It is one of the few times the whole club is on the mats at the same time.

We are located in the gymnasium of Mary Street Public School. The main intersection is Mary and William street in Oshawa. We offer over 1300 square feet of mat space including ample spectator seating.
